AI-based recruitment platform OneNewOne Ono shared an infographic reflecting the recruitment trends for 2024. According to the data, one of the most striking findings is that 80%% of the candidates who progressed positively through AI-conducted preliminary interviews were ultimately hired.
Intergenerational expectations in recruitment are also diverging. While Generation Y can prefer the office work model, Generation Z wants hybrid work.
2024 AI-POWERED RECRUITMENT TRENDS
As artificial intelligence has rapidly begun to impact all areas of business life, AI-based recruitment platform OneNewOne Ono, founded in 2021, shared this year’s recruitment trends through an infographic.
According to the data, AI-powered job placements in 2024 increased tenfold compared to the previous year, with insurance, banking, retail, and energy sectors leading the way in AI-powered recruitment.
While the candidate search process using traditional recruitment methods took an average of 23 hours, with AI this duration was reduced to an average of 1 second.
Recruitment processes that averaged 42 days were completed in an average of 12 days with AI.
AI passed the test with a score of 80 out of 100.
AI conducted 65,000 preliminary interviews, and 80%% of the candidates who progressed positively through the process were hired. This rate once again powerfully demonstrated the accuracy and impact of AI in recruitment processes.
The most popular department was technology & software.
In 2024, the department with the most hires was technology & software, followed by human resources and sales departments.
After Istanbul, the city with the most hires was Kocaeli, the heart of industry.
Generational differences in the workplace were also reflected in work models.
According to Ono data, the leading work model in 2024 was office-based at 46%%. This was followed by hybrid work at 42%% and remote work at 12%%.
While women preferred remote work, men preferred the hybrid work model more.
While Generation Y adopted the office work model at 52%%, Generation Z showed interest in job listings from companies offering a hybrid model at 59%%. These data reveal how the expectations of the new generation of workers are shaping company policies.
Most Loved Perk: Birthday Leave
According to Ono data, birthday leave tops the list of employees’ most loved perks.
Employees’ “red lines” in the business world were short and clear:
In response to the AI interview question “What is your red line?”, the most common answers were, in order: Disrespect, Injustice, and Mobbing.
The most in-demand competency was Microsoft Office programs, while English proficiency was sought at a rate of 96%% for foreign language requirements.
